AccessKeys

Sidebar with AccessKeys

This is an adaptation of an earlier theme, but bringing in AccessKeys to speed up the use of GTD-PHP v0.7

AccessKeys are one of HTML's least known features, which may soon disappear, but for now they're supported by most modern browsers. They are intended for use by those with mobility problems, but can help any of us speed up our use of web 2.0 applications such as GTD-PHP. Essentially it's a way of encoding a keyboard shortcut into an HTML page. This theme installs a shortcut for most of the menu items in GTD-PHP

Installation

  • Download [http://kjf.org.uk/Accesskey.zip] and unzip the folder
  • Put the folder side_with_accesskey into the themes/ folder of your installation
  • Copy the other two files into the main folder of your installation - remembering to backup the original files in case you don't like it

Use

  • For Firefox 2.0 use SHIFT+ALT+the letter or number highlighted when the mouse moves over the link
  • For other browsers, I'm not sure if or how it works

It's a start anyway, if anyone wants to develop it further.

~Kev.
